He has a moderate to mild case of plageocephaly (sp?) or something like that because he favors one side of his head it is causing some misshaping of his head. Here is a picture if you want to see what it looks like now...
I mean he's just adorable and perfect I think, even with a flat side of his head. :)
Anyways they have recommended that we correct this, just to make his life a little easier in the long run. So we now have a helmet that we are transitioning him into...
First we went to the appointment and they measured and made a 3D scan of his head. He did fine, didn't even phase him...
Then a week later we had his helmet. We went back to the Appointment and they tried it out, measured to make sure it's comfortable, this isnt supposed to hurt him at all, it just applies constant touching sensation to the side of his head that we don't want to grow out anymore, and gives room for the other side to expand to even it out. :)
And just for record, check out the back of the hat. :)
He doesn't seem to mind it at all. We've had it for a few days now, he's wearing it more and more daily and just doing great!
This was right after he was fitted...
and this was a few days later. Still a perfect and perfectly adorable baby boy!
