At his checkup he weighed 28lbs. He is approximately 31in tall. I say approximately because he didn't really want to stand still and kept looking up at the measurement thing so it was hard to get a completely accurate height. :)
The morning of his birthday he went to school. I had considered keeping him home all day, but I knew that Miss Rochelle was planning a little bit of a special day for him, so I sent him for half a day. After their lunch, I took cupcakes to his friends. They lit candles, sang Happy Birthday to him, and all enjoyed a treat for his special day.
After his little party at school, we went to McDonalds and met Lillian and Aunt Tonya. They played on the playplace for a while and just had a good ole time. I took this picture of them together on McDonalds party throne. I thought it was cute.
Tyler took off early as well, so after naps we went to JCPenney for pictures. I don't know why I continue to try and take pictures of Ben. He didn't really want to cooperate at all. I will say that the photographer did manage to get some good family pictures for us, since we didn't have any, and we got some good shots of Nathan, since we didn't have 6 months pics of him yet. But Ben wasn't having any of individual pictures, and I didn't push it.
Then it was off to Chuck E. Cheese. Aunt Say, Uncle Brent and Aunt Tonya, and the girls joined us and we had a fun night playing and celebrating Ben. He had a blast riding the different rides and playing the noisy games, and even though we don't admit it very much, the adults had fun too. :)
Ben now goes around and says "I two" He has no idea what that means, but he knows he's two. :)
And just a side note, on the morning of his birthday, he woke up and the first thing he said was "potty mama" so I asked if he wanted to go potty. He said yes. Now let me say that we have not pushed this at all. We bought a little potty seat for him that goes on the big potty and he knows we have it, but if he doesn't ask we don't push it. I really don't think he's quite ready yet. Anyways that morning he says that, we go to the bathroom and I sit him on the potty and my goodness if that sweet boy didn't tinkle in the potty!!! I mean it was a BIG DEAL! I gave him a candy for being such a big boy and just bragging on that child over and over again! Since then he has gone 2 times at school as well. He has lots of times he doesn't go, and again I dont push it, if he asks we go if he doesn't we don't, but looks like maybe sooner than later we will be potty training at our house!!! :) yea!!!
We are having his actual birthday party on Sunday. We are doing a Mickey Mouse theme because oh my this boy loves his "hotdog." And Seriously have you EVER seen a cuter invitation!!!
I didn't think so. More on that party later!! Have a great day!!
