A few memories to remember... :)

So I wanted to write down a few cute things Ben has done recently, mostly just to keep them fresh in my memory... :)

Okay first thing, when he wants to give Nate a kiss, he puts his hand on Nate's head and makes the kissing sound with his mouth. It's like kissing but without kissing. SO CUTE!!!

He has started to say some words that are correct and easily understood. He loves to play with balls, baseballs, basketballs, footballs, doesn't matter, as long as he can throw it he loves them. This is also a word he can say. Well this morning I took him and Nathan shopping with me and he kept saying "ball" "Ball" "BALL" louder and louder and more and more excited. I could not figure out what he was seeing, I didnt see any balls anywhere. Well turns out he saw the disco balls from the ceiling. Thats right folks, just for the record my child is a genius!!

He can also say Car, Dog, Duck, Cup, Mama, bear, uh-oh, fish (okay fish is a little hard to understand, but he says the same thing everytime he sees a picture of a fish so we count it), dada, tractor, whats that (sounds like one word, wussat.) That's all I can think of right now. He says the same thing when he sees my mom and dad, so we are getting closer on having a name for them, but right now we still can't quite understand what he is saying. He knows, we are just having issues. :)

Speaking of things he can "say" he also has picked up sign language. Uncle Brent and Aunt Tonya decided to teach Lillian certain words in sign language. Since Lillian and Ben go to the same in-home daycare, he has picked up on them too when she uses them with Miss Nanci. When he learns a new one during the day, I use it at home too and now he has several signs he can use. He knows how to say please, more, milk (he uses that for anything to drink really), all done, and we are now working on thank you. He does something for Thank you, it's kind of like throwing a kiss. Very sweet. :)

Small update on the little guy. Nathan has been sounding lately like he has congestion, but when I try and suction it out there is nothing there. I am a little concerned about that because I have had some congestion myself lately, and I actually went and got on antibiotics yesterday, but I am pretty sure mine was just allergies that caused an infection, it shouldn't have affected him... Anyway other than the congestion sounds he is doing great. Staying away more and more and really is just the best baby right now. He's getting on a schedule, well we are trying anyway. He takes a bottle approximately every 4 hours. 12, 4, 8, noon, 4 and 8. That's the goal anyway, sometimes he sleeps thru the 4am bottle and wakes up around 5 or so, but we just try to catch up again later. It's not a science really. Actually right now I'm trying really hard to stay awake so that I can be ready for Nathan's 12:00 bottle. Almost there and then I can get some rest. :)

And finally a few pictures from the last couple of days... Nothing too exciting, just some new pics to look at. :) Every post should have a picture if possible. I will warn you, most of these are of Ben, I did just post a lot of Nate in the previous post. :)

Yesterday I left Ben in his room on his own for no more than 5 minutes. When I left the clothes were in boxes, the books were on the shelf, and the blocks were in a drawer. When I got back this was the mess I saw. When he finally saw me he dropped the book that's in his hand and said "uh-OOOhhhhh" and then grinned.

Nathan taking a nap and contemplating how annoying it is that his mom is standing there taking pictures. Notice the little foot sticking out, he kicks his foot out while he sleeps, very similar to some Webb men that I know... :)

Pretending to drive the boat with Grandpa. What a good first mate.

This is Ben giving our friends daughter Baylie a kiss. This is the same way he kisses Nathan, touches the face and makes the kissing noise.

This is just to show you how LONG Nathan's legs and arms are. Seriously this child has the skinniest longest legs I have ever seen on a baby before in my life. I hope, we all hope actually, that this means he's going to be tall.

Ben learned how to climb up and slide down the slide at Nana and PoppaD's house last weekend. He was having a blast, it entertained him for at least an hour.

These next two are from last Saturday at the Fayetteville farmers market. I had never been before, but someone told me it was a good way to get out of the house. They were right. We piled the kiddos in the double stroller and off we went. It started to get hot around 11 so we didn't stay past that, but Ben likes to people watch, so he had fun just studying all that was going on around him. We also let him out of the stroller toward the end, and he played in a bubble machine, that was a huge hit. :)

BTW check out these blue eyes...

Here is Ben once again playing on Nate's swing. Regular swinging is now too boring, we must do it on our head...

And lastly a picture of Benjamin in his crib. He sits there and kicks his feet out of the rails, swings his legs and sings songs, talks to the dog, basically entertains himself for a good amount of time most days mornings and evenings. He really is a great kid ya know. :)

Have a great Sunday!
