Sorry for the lack of updates lately, there are a plethera of reasons why I haven't been able to keep up, but why waste wonderful typing and reading on excuses. :)
Instead let me catch anyone who might read this up on where we are with everything...
Let's see, we last left off it was the end of September... Since then I have had 2 doctors appointments, and everything with "thing 2" as we affectionately call the newest edition of the family, is looking good. Week 15 now... The weeks are going by faster and faster... Next check up is a week from Monday, nothing too exciting there. Probably find out if it's a boy or girl around the middle of January (which will be here before we know it!!!)
We took a little trip to a corn maze/pumpkin patch for some picture opportunities late September, that was fun, and Ben was super cute in the dirt. :)

October 10th his first tooth finally broke thru. Followed very quickly by his second tooth, coming in on October 11th. He went from no teeth to 2 teeth in 2 days. So now he has the little toothy grin, too fun let me tell you! :) He's working on Tooth number 3 on top, but like the others, it's taking a little while to actually break the surface.
He has had his first hair cut in November... Sad for me, but he is super adorable now with his trimmed bangs and little boy looks. :)
He is doing some really cute things right now. He sits on the floor, and if you say "yea Ben" he starts to grin and clap his hands together. Then he just grins bigger because he is so proud of himself. We are proud too buddy... :)
He can say "byebye" "dada" "mama" "nono" and "grrr" usually on cue, sometimes in the right context, and fairly consistantly so we count them, not as first words, more like first communications... :)
Just a picture for fun...
October 14th he pulled himself up to standing for the first time, but it wasn't his preferred method for a while. It took until the first week of November for him to pull up consistantly, and trust me, we are not in a hurry to have him on 2 legs for any long period of time. He's already hard to keep up with!!! Anyway he did start to pull up on everything, and now you can hardly keep his little hands to himself.
He likes to play with cars, he crawls around the floor pushing them around for at least 10 minutes at a time. It doesn't have to make noise, it doesn't have to have lights, it just has to have wheels. Sounds a lot like his father... hmmmm.
For our first Halloween he was a monkey (Thanks Brittney for the costume!) and he was an adorable monkey let me tell you. Aunt Say and Brandon came over after naptime to see him and take some pictures. We left the house around 4 and went to see our dear friends the Christie's. They were so sweet to give Ben age appropriate "treats" which he wasted no time eating. Then we went and saw Grandpa (Gramma was in Walnut Ridge) to show him our outfit and get some pictures. After that we ran by to say hi to Nana and Poppa D, then home for the night. Really very low key and just perfect for us.
First of November we made a quick trip to Walnut Ridge to see Uncle Bart since his football team was playing ASU in Jonesboro, and on national telelvision just FYI. It was a quick trip, just there and back, but it was really great to see Bart and the family in WR. Plus my Aunt and Uncle from Texas were there visiting, and since we only see them about once a year, it was great to have that opportunity. MTSU lost, so that wasn't great, but we still had a great time visiting.
Well that should catch us up at least to this week. Happy Fall!!!
