Over the weekend, Grammy, Granddaddy, Aunt Sue Sue, and Uncle Gary came to visit. I took Benjamin over to see them both Friday and Saturday. I love it when our family comes to visit. Once they get here, Benjamin gets held and loved and comforted 24/7. I happened to catch a picture of Grammy and Benjamin taking a nap together Saturday afternoon. They are even color coordinated. :)
On a sad note, while they were here visiting, they received a call saying that my Great Uncle had passed away which led to Ben's first road trip and unfortunately his first funeral. Benjamin did great on the way to Searcy Monday night, but it did give me a wake up call getting ready that morning. There is A LOT to pack for even a one night trip for a baby!!!
This was the back of my mom's SUV with all of Ben's stuff for the trip. Now I might have overdone it a bit, but I didn't know what I might need so I took everything! :)
That doesn't even include the diaper bag! :)
We also have both had a cold this week. No fun at all just FYI. I have been taking Zicam, very nasty tasting stuff if you get the pills, but the nose spray isn't so bad, and it really does help you get over your cold faster. Anyway I have been taking that so I have been able to pretty much have a mild version of it, but poor Benjamin being so young can't take anything for his symptoms so we have been using a humidifier and vapor baths and steamy bathrooms to help with his congestion. I think he probably has nightmares about the awful blue nose sucker.
Okay well that takes us through this week, well pretty much. Anyway here are some pictures from the week just for fun... :)
I like this picture because it shows his receeding hair line and hair on the side. No worries, I won't give him a comb over. :) He kind of looks like a very young and cute grandpa or something... :)
Benjamin has this pucker face that he does sometimes when he sleeps. It is probably my favorite expresion of his. The other night Tyler was holding him and I almost caught it on camera. This is as close as I got, but still cute! :)
This is an absolutely precious outfit that he has, and he isn't happy at all to be sitting in the chair, but you have to put at least one crying photo in the blog right...
And I think this is most appropriate... They took this picture while we were staying in Walnut Ridge.
Like mother like son...
